charity: water set up a Waterwalk at Father Duffy Square
On March 22, World Water Day was celebrated internationally. For 800 million people around the world, clean water isn’t a reality. This World Water Day, charity: water took over Times Square to help New Yorkers and tourists in the Big Apple realize what it’s like to live without access to clean water. They set up a Waterwalk, where people could see what it’s like to walk with Jerry cans full of water. Elmo and Super Mario even put in an appearance. Volunteers were everywhere, explaining the water crisis to those who had questions. It was an honor to get to photograph this event and help charity: water highlight the water crisis and bring clean water to those who don’t have it.
